The institute for quantum science and engineering （SIQSE） holds the institute's full-time staff 2018 general meeting in taizhou Hall SUSTech on nov 11, 2018. Director of SIQSE YU Dapeng, Vice director XIA ke and More than 80 people, including researchers, research professors, adjunct professors, engineers, administrative teams, and postdocs, attended the conference. The meeting hosted by XIA ke.

At the meeting, Prof. YU introduced the development process of the institute from preparation to development, the achievements made at the present stage and the future planning in details. He also introduced the management committee and academic committee of SIQSE. When introduced the field of SIQSE Prof. YU said that SIQSE will take quantum materials as the core, taking quantum simulation and quantum devices as the forerunner and take quantum network and quantum computing engineering application as the ultimate goal. Finally, Prof. YU made a guidance planning for SIQSE.

Then Prof. YU presented the appointment letter to the head of each center of SIQSE

Then the head of center for theoretical physics of quantum topological Matter KONG Liang, the head of quantum materials XIA Ke, the head of quantum material computing research center ZHANG Wenqing, the head of research center for quantum software and algorithms YUNG ManHong，the head of quantum computing center CHEN Yuanzhen, the head of quantum devices and chips center LIU Song, as well as the deputy head of research center for development of scientific instrumentation/facility ZHANG Zhensheng introduced construction status, personnel team and future plan of each center in details.

The second half of the meeting was introduced by financial secretary HU Mengjie and HR secretary FANG Xi，who explained the financial system and talent policy of the school in details.

At the end of the meeting, XIA Ke gave an introduction to the NSFC funds.
